Hello,
You are receiving this email because you may have interest in the L.T. Murray Wildlife Area in Kittitas County.
We wanted to let you know that the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) has begun work on a new 10-year management plan for the wildlife area.
Typically, we hold a workshop to let people know about the wildlife area planning process, and to hear what your interest are in the wildlife area.
Since we cannot hold a workshop at this time, we have prepared some information for you.
Here is the link to the news release announcing the start of the L.T. Murray Wildlife Area management planning process: https://wdfw.wa.gov/news/wdfw-seeks-community-involvement-lt-murray-wildlife-area-plan.
For more information, go to the L.T. Murray page of the WDFW website at: https://wdfw.wa.gov/places-to-go/wildlife-areas/lt-murray-wildlife-area, and scroll down to the “Management Planning” tab.
There you will find two short videos and an PDF with a description of the planning process, and a short survey.
Please complete the survey (go direct to the survey here) as it lets us know how you recreate on the wildlife area and what other interest you may have in the management of it.
The plan will take about a year to complete. WDFW will also provide an opportunity for public to review and comment on the draft plan.
You can contact us at: LTMurrayPlan@dfw.wa.gov
Sincerely,
Melissa Babik, L.T. Murray Wildlife Area Manager
